First off, I saw an ad on Facebook for a vehicle and asked if it had any rust and a clean title. Was told it had no rust and a clean title to boot so I drove an hour and a half to see it. When I got there, there was a 4 inch rust hole in the quarter. I chose to ignore that and we worked out a deal. While filling out paperwork I had asked once more if it had a clean title. Nick(the salesman) said no and that it would be illegal to sell a car without disclosing that. We made a deal and I headed home. On my way home there were multiple lights that came on the dash as if they had cleared the codes just to sell it. At this point I didn’t complain, just brought to my local mechanic to have it fixed. The title came in the mail one month later stamped salvage title. When I asked for my money back Nick was rude and ignored my calls for 2 days. I eventually called the Napa store and asked for the owner. He told me that it was older than 10 years old so they didn’t need to tell me if it had a salvage title but eventually did agree to meet up with me after hours to give them back their vehicle but said they were not by any means obligated to and didn’t need to pay for the repairs done. On my way to meet someone in Webster, 15 minutes away, nick had sent me a text saying to meet at his house. I called and begged him to meet me at Northland because I didn’t feel comfortable going to someone’s house to get my money back and go another 30 minutes out of my way. He was reluctant and told me he was busy doing laundry, of all things. Eventually did give in but was 20 minutes late. When he got there he flew into the parking lot slammed on the breaks and strutted out of the car. Then Told me again that they didn’t do anything wrong so I handed him the statute I had printed out on sd’s website on car sales which says regardless of age that salvage titles need to be disclosed before selling a vehicle. He got mad threw a check at me signed something jumped in his vehicle and left.
