I was THRILLED to run across this old style AW! They apologized with a sign on the door that they were short staff but I was given very prompt and courteous service! I even had to bother them to check me out twice as I purchased some of the wonderful memorabilia they had out for sale! I loved the old carhop server tray with mugs on it as I used to BE a carhop. I have a fast food AW in Sioux Falls that looks like every other fast food place and I have only eaten there once in 10 years. I would definitely stop by the Webster one again and the Papa Burger was delish!!
If you order a root beer float, you will experience profound disappointment. Gone is the frosted mug, scoop of creamy ice cream and real root beer. It's been replaced by a plastic cup, something fizzy that resembles root beer, and a suspended frozen solution that may be part dishwater. The fried chicken sandwich tasted as if it was fried in rancid oil that last housed an acquarium. I loved A&W as a kid, but I think this company is going to join Howard Johnson on the extinct list. They need to get with the program and start making real food for real people. Start with something fresh, and clean the grill nightly.
Good burger, excellent root beer. Old fashioned location. Old style jukebox. Mens room was very small and dingy. Friendly staff.
I wasnt too happy here... The seats were tore up. The wooden floor creaked every time someone outside closed their car door. At least the food was good and the staff were friendly.
Wonderful food. Great service and friendly people. Just missed the old root beer cold frosted glasses.
